This commemorative Wild Style 35th Anniversary graphic was designed by NYC creative director Sharif Profit as the announcement flyer for the 35th Anniversary Wild Style event held in New York City in patnership with Summer Stage. " I created the image channeling some of the flyer kings of the past Billy Esquire and Phase 2 RIP. It was an homage to those that came before that created these well thought out and elaborate party flyers. There were no computers back then these cats were creating these with masterpieces with geometic shapes and typefaces they were very information heavy. These were the tools to spread the word throughout the neighborhoods back in the days. Informing the masses when the next Hip Hop meet up, throw down (battle) or mega jam was going to happen.  A major communication tool - its what we call social media today." - Sharif Profit
